Who We Are

CCI/Ukraine is an interdenominational association of 169 members - church-based Christian camps (116), conference centers (16), camping organizations (3) and individuals (34) - with a focus on training camp leaders, developing camp program and leadership recourses and providing fellowship and exchange opportunities.

CCI/Ukraine also assists in the development of CCI associations in Moldova and Trans-Caucasus Region. In 2005 there were 31 CCI member-camps in these areas where CCI/Ukraine provides resources.

Vision Statement

CCI/Ukraine’s vision is to give every youth of Ukraine the opportunity to attend a Christian camp.

We believe that Christian camping is the most effective outreach tool in youth ministry that the church has. We believe that at the age of 10-15 young people are ready to make important decisions for their lives.

Mission Statement

CCI/Ukraine’s mission is to assist churches in developing Christian youth camps.

This mission is achieved through the following activities: organize and run staff training workshops, leadership conferences and specialty courses; develop and publish camp Bible programs, song books, collections of games, camp leadership manuals, audio and video materials.

Brief History

Since 1991 camp leaders from Ukraine and Moldova attended CCI/Russia training events. The first leadership training event in Ukraine on behalf of CCI was conducted in May 1996 by Kingdom Ventures Inc, Canada, represented by Dave & Elfrieda Loewen. Following this first training event, a six-member Board of Directors was established that administrated the affairs of CCI/Ukraine.

Today CCI/Ukraine is governed by an elected Board of Directors that determines policies, articulates the vision of CCI/Ukraine and bears the responsibility for all operations.

CCI/Ukraine was officially registered as a charity on June 7, 2001. In February, 2003 CCI/Ukraine’s office was temporarily set up in Poltava, Ukraine. On November 11, 2004 CCI/Ukraine’s head office was moved to Kyiv, capital city of Ukraine, following CCI/Ukraine Board’s decision.

CCI/Ukraine's central purpose is to help churches run successful Christian youth camps. It organizes staff training workshops and camp leadership conferences, develops Bible programs, songbooks, games, leadership manuals and audiovisual materials.

Statement of Faith

We believe in

  • the Holy Scriptures as originally given by God, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy and the supreme authority in all matter of faith and conduct;
  • the triune God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit;
  • the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His substitutionary atonement for sin, His bodily resurrection and His personal, visible return to earth to reign in righteousness and glory;
  • the person of the Holy Spirit and His work of conviction, regeneration and sanctification, who indwells every believer equipping them with gifts for service and witness;
  • the necessity of new birth, in salvation by faith in Jesus Christ alone, and the importance of a life fully committed to the will of God in Christ;
  • the church as the one, universal body of Christ who is the Head, called to be God's redeemed people.
